The itinerary - Start from Tel Aviv / Jerusalem Hotel's:

Setting out towards the Dead Sea, we make a stop at the Inn of the Good Samaritan. As we reach the sign announcing that we are now descending below sea-level we make a short stop and then continue to Jericho, believed to be one of the oldest cities in the world

As we approach the city we recall the Biblical tales of Jericho. We see the Zacchaeus Sycamore, the old sycamore tree that the short man Zacchaeus climbed to see above the crowds and get a better look at Jesus as he approached the city. Our next stop is to take in the sight of the Mount of Temptation where the devil unsuccessfully tried to tempt Jesus

Our journey takes us back towards Jerusalem and the Judean Mountains where we visit Bethlehem, both the home of Jesse, King Davids father and the place where Jesus was born

We cross the Israeli / Palestinian check point Peace to Bethlehem & the Church of the Nativity.

We exit the basilica passing the Armenian Chapel of the Kings and continue to the adjacent Church of Saint Catherine. Then we descend to grottos which are connected to those beneath the Church of the nativity

Our final stop is to see Shepherds Field. Here the Bible tells us that an angel appeared to shepherds tending their sheep by night and the angel told them that a savior had been born in nearby Bethlehem.

On our way, we pass the Field of Ruth where Ruth, King David's great grandmother worked in the fields of Boaz- On Fridays.

Bethlehem is under Palestinian Authority Rule. To enter you need a valid passport
Please note that in Jericho the guiding language is English only
